A reminder of someone who loves you unconditionally can serve. You can touch your wedding ring, for example, if you feel uneasy. When mediating or facilitating meetings, I like to keep a photo of one my unconditionally supportive nephews under the table. If I feel myself tilting off balance due to the high emotions of my clients, a glance at that photo brings me back to center.
